MANILA, Philippines —President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is reported to be coping well during his COVID-19 isolation, as stated by Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil on Wednesday. The Palace had disclosed Marcos’ positive diagnosis on Tuesday, emphasizing that he would continue working remotely.
According to Garafil, “He is doing well. He has a scheduled teleconference this afternoon,” conveyed through a Viber message to reporters.
Due to his COVID-19 condition, Marcos had to cancel several engagements, including the National Decongestion Summit in Manila scheduled for Wednesday. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin stepped in to deliver his speech on his behalf. This marks the third instance of Marcos testing positive for COVID-19.
